Laravel Developer

MCS is seeking a skilled and passionate Laravel Developer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Laravel, backend development, and the ability to build scalable, high-performance web applications.

Responsibilities

➤ Application Development:

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Laravel framework.

2. Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards.

3. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.

➤ Back-End Development:

1. Build and maintain server-side logic using PHP (Laravel).

2. Implement MVC architecture and best practices.

3. Handle authentication, authorization, and business logic.

➤ Front-End Integration:

1. Integrate front-end components using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax.

2. Ensure responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.

➤ Database Management:

1. Design, optimize, and maintain databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

2. Work with Eloquent ORM, migrations, seeders, and query optimization.

➤ API Development:

1. Develop and consume RESTful APIs.

2. Implement API authentication (JWT/Sanctum/Passport).

3. Ensure security and performance of APIs.

➤ Version Control & Deployment:

1. Use Git for source code management.

2. Participate in deployment and release processes.

3. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.

➤ Testing & Debugging:

1. Perform unit and integration testing.

2. Debug issues and ensure application stability.

➤ Performance Optimization:

1. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

2. Implement caching, queues, and performance tuning techniques.

➤ Collaboration:

1. Work with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers.

2. Participate in code reviews and agile development processes.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

2. Hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel.

3. Strong knowledge of OOP concepts and MVC architecture.

4. Experience with Laravel features: Eloquent ORM, Middleware, Queues, Events, Caching.

5. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery.

6. Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and writing optimized queries.

7. Good understanding of RESTful API development.

8. Familiarity with Git version control.

9. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

10. Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with Laravel Sanctum/Passport for API authentication.

2. Knowledge of Redis, queues, and job scheduling.

3. Experience with Docker / cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

4. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.

5. Experience in performance optimization and security best practices.
