Delivery Lead (Remote)

Position: Delivery Lead

Experience: 10+ Years

Work Location: Fully Remote

About Us

MCS is a bootstrapped, fully remote IT services company of 60+ people, serving clients globally across 30+ countries. We build custom software solutions β€” web and mobile applications, AI solutions, and digital products for businesses across retail, fintech, education, healthcare, travel, and more.

As we scale our delivery function, we're looking for a Delivery Lead who ensures our projects are delivered on time, our BAs are working with precision, and our clients always know where things stand.

About The Role:

This is a full-time remote role for a Delivery Lead with 10+ years of experience. You'll act as the supervisory layer between our BA team, engineering team, and clients β€” ensuring that requirements are accurately captured, Jira tickets are well-defined and actionable, and delivery stays on track across engagements.

Work Shift:

2PM – 10PM IST. Our dev team typically wraps by 8:30 PM β€” the 10 PM window covers occasional client requests, not late nights as a norm. We're open to discussing shift timings based on the candidate's sensibility and accountability on projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Review Jira tickets created by the engineering team and BAs β€” ensuring they are accurate, well-defined, and actionable before development begins

  • Supervise and hand-hold the BA team β€” ensuring business requirements are properly captured and broken into small, executable tasks in Jira

  • Attend client calls to monitor project progress, understand client expectations, and flag any gaps between what was promised and what is being delivered

  • Identify and resolve blockers early β€” keeping BAs unblocked and delivery timelines intact

  • Ensure quality gates are respected at every stage β€” nothing ships to a client without the right checks in place

  • Maintain visibility on all active projects β€” leadership should be able to ask you the status of any engagement at any time and get a clear, accurate answer

  • Support BAs in translating complex client requirements into clear, well-scoped tasks

  • Flag risks, scope creep, and delivery concerns to leadership before they become problems

What You Bring:

  • Min. 10 years of experience in delivery management, project management, or a senior BA role in IT services or custom software

  • Deep familiarity with Jira β€” you can review a ticket and immediately tell if it's well-written or not, and you know how to fix it

  • Experience in supervising or mentoring BAs or junior PMs β€” you've guided others in requirement gathering and task breakdown before

  • Strong attention to detail β€” you catch gaps in requirements before they cause mid-sprint confusion

  • Self-directed in a fully remote environment β€” you manage your own workload without needing to be chased

Good to have:

  • Experience in writing or reviewing JQL (Jira Query Language) for custom filters and reports

  • Exposure to AI or digital transformation projects

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification

What Success Looks Like In This Role:

  • Jira tickets are never vague β€” every task that goes into development is clear, scoped, and actionable because you reviewed it first

  • No client ever wonders what's happening on their project β€” because you've already sent an update or flagged a concern

  • Delivery timelines are respected β€” not because everything always goes perfectly, but because blockers are caught and communicated early

  • Leadership can ask you the status of any active project at any moment and get a precise, confident answer

  • Over time, the BA team needs less hand-holding β€” because your coaching has built their capability

What We Offer:

  • A team that genuinely cares β€” about the work, about clients, and about each other

  • 22 paid leaves. Alternate Saturdays and Sundays off

  • Fully remote β€” work from anywhere in India, provided you can collaborate during shift hours and meet our data security standards

Hiring Process:

  • Round 1: Delivery management fundamentals, scenario-based questions, cultural alignment

  • Round 2: Deeper role discussion, cultural fitment, and logistics alignment

Feedback within 5–7 working days at every stage.
